Core Values
#1: Life centered in Jesus Christ:
Psalm 46:10 says; "Be still and know that I am God." Again in Matthew 6:33 the Scripture says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God. . ." We believe that the most important core value one can have is a life deeply immersed in a growing personal relationship with God in Christ. This is a chief pursuit and goal of life. From that vital maturing relationship with Go, servant hood and obedience flow with joy and peace. Service for God can never be a substitute for time alone with God.
#2: Relationships are primary:
The Scripture is replete with verses telling us to love and care for one another. The covenant of law has been replaced by the covenant of grace. The letter of the law is fulfilled in the spirit of the law. Therefore, we believe in relationships over rules and regulations. If we err we err on the side of mercy and compassion of one another. This does not mean that we compromise the Word of God. it does mean that we apply it with tenderness and compassionate consideration for others.
#3: Unity in the body is absolutely necessary:
The scriptures call us to unity, e.g., Romans 15:5, Ephesians 4:3. We believe it is imperative each member of the body remain diligent in promoting unity. Harmony and oneness hold us together. Division and disunity divides and defeats. It is vital that each member goes the extra mile in keeping peace and harmony with the membership.
#4: Excellence in ministry:
We serve an excellent God who models excellence to us in Himself, His creation, and His mighty acts. Therefore, we believe that whatever we do should be done in an outstanding manner, e.g. First Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17. Our actions and activities should be done with high quality or not at all.
#5: The inerrancy of Scripture
We believe that the Bible is accurately translated is the inerrant, infallible, perfect Word of God. It is completely truthful and correct in all its subject matter. It is completely faithful for the life and works of the church. The Bible is to be translated in light of Jesus Christ who is the central character of the Scripture. Psalm 119; Second Timothy 3:16-17; Second Peter 1:20-21;
